Over the holiday break, time was found to create a few layouts. Here is one based on the January 1 Sketch Challenge over at the Paper Secrets blog. They also threw a twist to the challenge, where you were required to use items beginning with the letters in PARTY. Here is my version:
P-Photo corners A-alphas R- rub-ons (Sweet, flowers, little birdie) T-twine Y-yellow
Paper was from CTMH Dotty For You collection, CTMH twine, rub-ons from CTMH Primavera, and buttons from my stash. The felt alphas used in cake are from American Crafts felt Thickers. Photo corners were hand cut from the Dotty for You paper, and the chevron zig zag was fussy cut from Dotty for You CTMH paper.
The LO was based on this sketch:

Paper Secrets-June 15th Sketch with a Twist
Hello-it's been awhile. Almost July 1 and this is the first chance all summer I have had to scrap.
Love this sketch from Page Maps via the Paper Secrets June 15th challenge, found here. Jillibean Soup Papers were used, along with Later Sk8tr by CTMH.
Here's my take on it.
Until next time, which will hopefully be sooner than later! Thanks for looking.

A Tricky Challenge
It's a long weekend and boy am I glad it is finally here! I had a chance to sit down and peruse some of my favorite scrappy blogs. The Scrap Room blog had several sketches that I decided to play with. Here's one that was posted by TerryB and was taken from October Afternoon. TerryB is giving away a RAK, linking up by May 27.
Here's my take on the sketch:
And the sketch:
Used a kit from the May 2013 Scrap Room, with papers by Teresa Collins He Said/She Said. Had so much fun using the fun stickers and coordinating papers. Simple and easy.
Thanks for looking!

Scrappy Friends Challenges
Hello there everyone! My scrappy friend, Angela, and I had a chance to scrap together this weekend and I was able to complete a few challenges I've been oogling for awhile. I have long admired the work of the four "scrappy firends" and finally had some time to play along with their monthly challenges.
Two layouts completed fit three of the Scrappy Friends Challenges. Here is the first layout:
This layout was fun to do and honors the "Keep Calm and...." challenge. Thanks Angela for the title help! The challenge can be found here.
The second layout was also done with Angela's guidance. I just love how getting together with friends to scrap allows you to give each other technique tips and inspiration. In this case, Angela helped me with masking on the stamps (school zone and Back 2 School).
All four challenges were met with two layouts. My goal is to someday combine all four challenges onto one layout. A big Thank You to all four ladies and can't wait to see what you came up with next month!
Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!

This layout attempts
to satisfy three challenges: the sketch challenge from Scrappin' Happy , the color combo challenge (blues, greens
and yellows) from Rochelle Spears., and the masking/stencil challenge from Kristi B.

Frosted Designs and Scrapbook Steals JADE #4 challenge
Today I found this sketch challenge through Scrapbook Steals blog. Great products can be found at SS and thrilled to see the weekly sketches for inspiration. I am also entering this LO into the Frosted Designs challenge found here. These two challenges allowed me to kill a kit from TSR and use some items from my stash. Woohoo!
Here's my layout Push Button Nose using the SS Jade #4 sketch:
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...happy scrapping!
