TSR May Page Starter

The Scrap Room has a fabulous new feature called "Page Starters." Any time soemthing is simple and quick to do when it come to scrapbooking, it is worth a try. I had a great time doing the May Page Starter and using Echo Park's Happy Days collection. Here is my take on the sketch:

Sketch Inspiration #303 and a Give Away!

I had some time this weekend to play along with Sketch Inspiration, so I thought I would post the newest LO. Although it is winter, and there hasn't been a lot of snow around these parts, it was still nice to do a summer layout. I don't think I'm ready for summer to be back, but it was fun remembering all the summer fun we had. Maybe this will bring snow our way, and enough to bring a snow day!

With all the CHA Sneak Peeks out there, one can spend a lot of time browsing and shopping! As a self diagnosed paper hoarder, there are so many new and exciting scrap items to see. Daddy's Girl

It's a new year, and with that comes New Year's Resolutions. Instead of making a New Year's Resolution, I've decided to make some goals. These are so much more acheivable, don't you think? Creating one scrapbook page a week is one of my goals for 2012. If a week is a busy one, pages can easily be made up the next week or weekend. And, heaven knows I have a ton of supplies to use up from my stash. I've put my goal out there on this blog, so there's no escaping!!

Here's the first layout of the year created with Sketch Inspiration's first sketch of the year, #301. Check them out if you haven't-the sketches are exactly what the name implies-great inspiration! Kiera is now 10 months old, and the time is going quickly. She's getting so big. Love how this one turned out, especially since Scott is always the one taking the pictures and not ususally in the pictures.

Mojo Monday Birthday Card

Macy's little friend was having a birthday party this weekend, so the two of us went onto the Mojo Monday Blog for some inspiration making the birthday card. Macy picked out the paper and the stamping she wanted on the card. With me as her personal cutter,  and her gluing expertise, this is what she came up with. I thought it turned out pretty cute, don't you?

Learning Hoops

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I have even had a chance to scrap, let alone post anything on the blog. This week's Sketch Inspiration was too good to pass up though. Really simple, and it used more than one picture, which I appreciate. Here is the Hoops layout of Isaac last year during Basketball Rec League.

The paper and embellies I used all came from Paper Dreams, my friend's local scrapbook store. Sadly, the store will be closing at the end of November, but I am sure my friend Angela will be able to keep us all up to date on the latest and greatest scrappy finds!

A new scrappy find for me

I stumbled upon this new site(new to me anyways), My Scraps & More, and it has some neat features to it. The sketches are probably my favorite, but the blog, forum, and store always have something fun going on, whether it's a challenge or a random give away. Right now, they are having an October Sketch It to Win It Challenge, with a different sketch posted daily October 3-31. Prizes and contests gallore, so be sure to play along! Check them out here.
