Frosted Designs and Scrapbook Steals JADE #4 challenge

Today I found this sketch challenge through Scrapbook Steals blog. Great products can be found at SS and thrilled to see the weekly sketches for inspiration. I am also entering this LO into the Frosted Designs challenge found here. These two challenges allowed me to kill a kit from TSR and use some items from my stash. Woohoo!

Here's my layout Push Button Nose using the SS Jade #4 sketch:
brads, CTMH rubbons (flowers), stamp (bottom right flower),  border punch

More 12 days and My Scraps and More #8

Had a chance to put another LO together (shocker I know). There are 5 golden (yellow) on this page, with the yellow chipboard buttons, yellow bling, and yellow paper on the bottom right. Paper is from TSR December kit (www.http://www.scrap-room.com/) MME I am entering this LO into the 12 Days of Christmas, Day 5 (5 golden or yellow items) at Frosted Designs and My Scraps and More Sketch #8.

Trim the Tree 2011

It has become an annual tradition for Isaac and Macy to do all the tree decorating, every since I was pregnany with the little one two years ago. They love being in charge and remembering where each ornament came from.

Here is my take on Sketch Inspiration's Sketch 352. Also entering this LO in 12 Days of Christmas over at Frosted Designs.

Sitting on Santa's Lap

Not only does Christmas Break mean time with family and celebrating Jesus's birthday, but time for scrapping! It has been awhile since I've seen the bottom of my desk. I was able to complete this page to meet two challenges: Paper Secrets color combo challenge and Sketch #9 at My Scraps and More.

Two totally fun challenges! Loving the color combo challenge, which usually is hard for me to put together out from the stash. The SEI Kris Kringle line was perfect for the challenge. I am also entering this into Frosted Designs 12 Days of Christmas Challenge. I used nine sparkles for the 9th day of Christmas.

Thanks for looking! Here's to a New Year filled with many blessings!

Sketch Inspiration #346

Tiny Dancer---Sketch Inspiration #346

Tiny Dancer (a.k.a. Macy) was adorable in her red and blue dance outfit for this year's recital. A bit of a challenge this year was figuring out a way to lengthen the tutu, which was too short to begin with. Miss Cheryl came to the rescue and added a piece of red ribbon to the middle and the show went on.

The flowers were made from ribbon in my stash and with the help of this tutorial here.

Paper Secrets Oct 15 Sketch Challenge

Had a chance to complete this challenge at last weekend's crop. Loving this sketch and as a bonus, had these Jillibean Soup papers to use for a bonus challenge entry.

JS Hearty Barley canola oil and fresh mushroom papers

And here's the sketch from Paper Secrets:

All the papers are JS, tag too, with the pins and flowers from CTMH. Thinking this counts as at least 75% of JS product!

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time--

Sketch Inspiration #342 Summer Delight

The paper in the downstairs scrap closet is piling up! I knew that I needed to just jump in and get started using some of the paper to make a layout. I used SI's #342 sketch for this page, and it came together quickly. I tried something that I have never done before-I has a kit from The ScrapRoom and the sketch, but had no pictures in mind. It was very liberating to use a kit that I've had since February and finish the layout within a couple hours. Would have been done sooner, but I had help from Macy and a pause to put the other two kiddos to bed.  So pleased with how this turned out and the fact that I even found pictures that went well with the LO.

Here's the sketch:

And here is the page:

WRMK Good Day Sunshine pps, CTMH rub-on (delight and small flowers), tag & flower circle cut from Art Philosophy cartridge, flowers from stash, WRMK metal flowers
