Macy's little friend was having a birthday party this weekend, so the two of us went onto the Mojo Monday Blog for some inspiration making the birthday card. Macy picked out the paper and the stamping she wanted on the card. With me as her personal cutter, and her gluing expertise, this is what she came up with. I thought it turned out pretty cute, don't you?

Learning Hoops
Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I have even had a chance to scrap, let alone post anything on the blog. This week's Sketch Inspiration was too good to pass up though. Really simple, and it used more than one picture, which I appreciate. Here is the Hoops layout of Isaac last year during Basketball Rec League.
The paper and embellies I used all came from Paper Dreams, my friend's local scrapbook store. Sadly, the store will be closing at the end of November, but I am sure my friend Angela will be able to keep us all up to date on the latest and greatest scrappy finds!

A new scrappy find for me
I stumbled upon this new site(new to me anyways), My Scraps & More, and it has some neat features to it. The sketches are probably my favorite, but the blog, forum, and store always have something fun going on, whether it's a challenge or a random give away. Right now, they are having an October Sketch It to Win It Challenge, with a different sketch posted daily October 3-31. Prizes and contests gallore, so be sure to play along! Check them out here.

Sketch Inspiration #225
Some day I'll take the time to take a picture of my LO's that aren't crooked. For now, this will just have to do. I was able to get a few more pages done today with the assistance of my two helpers, Macy and Kiera. Well, OK, the baby didn't reaaly "help," but she did nap quite a bit while Macy and I scrapped and worked at the store Paper Dreams. I used the Lime Rickety line; there are too many yummy embellishments and papers to count. I love them all though. :0) I even did some misting with a chipboard to create the bracket. Think I will have to try this technique again, especially with a less busy background.

Sketchy Thursdays 6.16.11
Here's the latest Sketchy Thursdays challenge. I love this Sophia paper pack from Close to My Heart.
The LO was based on this sketch:

I also had some time to do one other page from Sketch Inspiration #224.
The kids love going to a local pottery place to paint. They giggle every time they say the name of the store. It's fun knowing they get the play on words. Besides, these two never pass up a time to use some bathroom humor. ;)

6.9.11 Sketchy Thursdays Challenge
It's Sketchy Thursdays time again! I created this LO using Baubles from Pink Paislee, as well as papers from Basic Grey Cupcake line, and October Afternoon.
Pleating was also used- it added a bit more color I think! I love the bauble from pinkpaislee, too.
I have also decided it is time for a new camera. The images always turn out with a yellow tinge, no matter what kind of lighting used. Great excuse to go shopping, don't you think?!?

5.26 Sketchy Thursdays Challenge-Dino Night
This week's Sketch Thursdays sketch lent itself perfectly for some pictures of Isaac's dinosaur project at school.
Second graders put on a Dino Night at school every year. Isaac spent most of his Spring Break this year plotting, planning, researching, and creating his dinosaur diarama for Dinosaur Night. He did some research and drew a volcano background. The dinosaur fossil kits he got from our Sternberg Museum trip worked perfectly for his diorama. Throw in a few fake plants, a few smaller plastic dinosaurs, and voila!---the diorama was born! One of his favorite school projects so far for sure.

Sketch #220, Sketch Inspiration
Have I mentioned how much I love sketches? I don't think I could scrap without them! For my birthday today, I asked that I be allowed to scrapbook uninterrupted. Sooo, Scott took the kids, and I spent some time at my scrap desk. This lasted for all of 30 minutes, and it was NOT uninterrupted. But, it was more time than I have had in a month. It was a great day! Here is one layout that I did manage to complete today, for the Sketch Inspiration weekly challenge.

Sketchy Thursdays 4.14.11 Challenge
I love a good double page layout, don't you? Sketchy Thursdays challenge this week was perfect for the egg hunt pictures taken last Easter.
Now here is my take on this week's sketch.
This is my last week at home, so I am really trying to get some scrapping done. Paper used was from Quite Contrary from MME the TSR kit, and miscellaneous flowers from my stash. The chipboard butterflies were something new this time. I struggle with how to use chipboard, so I covered one with paper and inked the other two. Thanks for looking!

Sketchy Thursdays 3.31.11
This hat was given to Kiera from a cousin of mine. It is huge on her little head, but we couldn't resist trying it on. Kiera even put her hands up to her face and began to pose. Okay, so maybe it was just a newborn reflex, but it is still completely adorable!

Sketchy Thursdays 2.24 Challenge
Fun basic sketch this week at Sketch Thursdays. Macy and Isaac really hauled in the Halloween loot this year. They always dump their candy out on the kitchen table to sort into the "LIKE" and "DON'T LIKE" pile. For some reason, the pile dwindles dramatically by the morning. Hmmmm...wonder where it all went?
Paper is Pink Paislee, all from my favorite local store, Paper Dreams.

Sketch Inspiration #208
With baby #3 on the way, I know I should be doing a ton of other things around the house or for work. But, the crib is up, the basics are here, and the rest will take care of itself. I found some time today to work on two sketches, during Macy and I's "girl time." Macy is definitely taking a liking to paper, glue, scissors, and all pretty things in scrapbooking!
Here is the LO I did for Sketch Inspiration, #208. If you haven't seen this site, go check it out! Each week there is a fun new sketch with a fabulous prize if you are the weekly winner. I don't find time to play along as much as I would like, but the sketches are fun.
Echo Park "Little Boy" papers and Bazzill cardstock used on this layout.
